don't think the tax income is protected from another wave of bailouts once the derivatives fail again. The sellouts for the banks will make sure those bailouts will be issued, the point being that there is no serious reason not to do that again. I don't think the president has any power over the
ones who constantly cause these problems, the representatives who were voted by the people.

large banks and did away with the Banking Act of 1933 which protected bank customers from what happened in 1929.
